Marketing Edinburgh show off the city in a whole new perspective with the help of a PufferSphere...
As this year’s host city of Scotland’s premier business to business travel trade event, Edinburgh and the Marketing Edinburgh team needed to make sure they made the most of their host status and maximised the impact of their stand which stood at the heart of the show entrance. With the show broken into standard shell schemes, the team wanted to find a way to deliver something compelling and different to break the bounds of an otherwise compact, uniform area.
Using a PufferSphere M 600 system, the team showed off the wealth of attractions Edinburgh has to offer, providing a dynamic crystal ball within which the City’s core attractions revealed themselves. Small enough to fit the stand whilst leaving space for the team to work their charms, and bright enough to deliver punch under the hall lights, the M unit proved an ideal solution.
Harnessing the flexible nature of the digital display, it was easy to move between focuses on a wealth of different Edinburgh stalwarts, ranging from the international festival, to the UNESCO City of Literature and the famed ambience and architecture of the City.
Adding an element of participation, live tweets were also fed to the PufferSphere, inviting guests to contribute their thoughts on the show and prompting new contacts to sign up to follow on an ongoing basis.
Not alone at the show, the M unit was joined by its larger sibling the PufferSphere XL for the evening gala. Ceiling mounted, the 2m-diameter sphere formed a bold centrepiece whilst it hung over the crowd of revellers as they sampled some of Scotland’s finest produce, before dancing off the excess!
