Playing The Beautiful Game

While there may be no world cups, European medals or even match winning balls contributed by Scotland to the newly opened National Football Museum, the Pufferfish team are proud to have provided something Scottish to the cause...

Moving from its previous location at Preston North End’s Deepdale stadium to its new surroundings in Manchester, the National Football Museum has undergone a makeover of epic proportions, adding a raft of interactive experiences to engage and excite visitors.

Adding to that excitement is the inclusion of a PufferSphere XL HardBall. Placed as a centerpiece for footballing action, visitors are invited to walk around the display reliving classic football moments and learning about the scale of the ‘FIFA Family’ through an inbuilt audio system.

Testament to the unique draw of the display, the PufferSphere still manages to grab and hold the attention of visitors whilst being surrounded by a treasure trove of English footballs most treasured artifacts; including the shirt worn by Maradona while he performed the now infamous ‘Hand of God’ and that little talked about World Cup won by England in 1966! (My English colleagues tell me neither of these things should ever be forgotten.)

Special thanks go to systems integrators DJ Willrich for their brilliant installation of all the exhibits around the museum and the team at Centre Screen for creating the absorbing content for our display.
