In today’s interconnected world of commerce and business, the globe is a potent emblem of any multinational business’s reach. So it was apt that instead of cutting a ribbon when the big moment came, the PufferSphere put a new twist on the traditional ceremony.
Executives at two separate international launches eschewed the novelty scissors in favour of digital globes, which responded to touch; transforming with show-stopping visuals to celebrate the breaking of new ground.
Bank of China
Bank of China celebrated the launch of the RMB Bond Trading Index with simultaneous launch events in London, Singapore and Shanghai. Working with London-based agency PSLive, Pufferfish created a digital globe with a difference for the London event. During the presentation and speeches prior to the launch, a prosperous-looking globe in shades of red rotated slowly displaying the locations of the launch events.
McKinsey & Company
Meanwhile, at a different, yet equally international launch, executives from McKinsey & Company were also on stage in Singapore with an interactive PufferSphere M to launch their latest Digital Campus at the McKinsey Innovation Forum event. The Digital Campus will work with organisations in the private and public sector in Asia to discover and deliver their full digital potential. Therefore, organisers were keen to marry their digital content with a pioneering technology such as the PufferSphere.
As far as metaphors for power and influence go, for leaders of large multinationals with intercontinental reach there’s nothing purer than the world literally being at your fingers tips.
